Current account can be opened with initial minimum deposit of 1000 Rs. Minimum average balance required for Current account is 1000 Rs.  The maximum amount you can keep in this account at the end of the day is Rs. 1 Lakh and if it exceeds to 1 Lakh, the excess money will be transferred to the linked POSB account.
